Family-Style Baked Beans

3 cans(16 oz) pork and beans
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/2 large chopped onion
3 Tbsps brown sugar
3 Tbsps Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp chili powder
squirt of tabasco

Mix all ingredients and you can either cook it on the stove top till it boils or transfer to an ungreased, covered baking dish and bake at 350 F for 30-35 minutes.

This recipe came from Cathy Weidner. It was printed in the Taste of Home bonus book. I like to eat this over rice and make cornbread with it.

Cocoa Rice

1 can coconut milk
2 1/4 cups of rice
1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa
A ton of sugar
16 cups water

Put the rice in a big boiling pan and add approximately 16 cups of water. Bring to a boil on high heat and then turn it down to med-hi heat and continue to boil until rice is done. There should be quite a bit of water still in the pan. While rice is boiling, whisk together coconut milk and Hershey's cocoa. When the rice is done, remove pan from stove and pour in coconut milk, cocoa mixture. Then add enough sugar to your liking ( I usually end up with 3-4 cups of sugar)

Not the healthiest thing to eat, but it sure tastes yummy!

Kalua Pork

This is so yummy and I don't know exactly where the recipe came from.

3 lbs. Pork roast
1 Tbsp rock salt
2 tsp liquid smoke
2 tsp garlic powder
2 cups of water

Mix all the ingredients in a crock pot. Add the roast and cook on high for 1 hour and low 6-8 hours. I usually put mine in frozen and cook on high for 4-5 hours. Then I cut it up into smaller pieces and turn on low for another 3 hours. 1 hour before it is done cooking I will shred the meat to really soak in the juices.

This goes well with cooked cabbage and rice.
